Moscow. 12 December. INTERFAX.RU – The Sejm (lower house of parliament) of Poland intends to postpone until Wednesday the vote on confidence in the government of Donald Tusk after an incident during which a deputy from the far-right Confederation of Freedom and Independence party Grzegorz Braun extinguished the Hanukkah candles displayed in the building with a fire extinguisher.

“The faction of the Law and Justice party wants to end discussions on Donald Tusk’s program until tomorrow. We cannot work in such an atmosphere,” Polish Radio quotes Przemyslaw Czarnek, a deputy from this party, as saying.

Representatives of other political forces also stated that they did not want the discussions to continue.

Meanwhile, after the incident, Seimas Chairman Szymon Holownia said that the prosecutor’s office would look into Brown’s actions.

The day before, the majority of deputies of the Sejm (lower house of parliament) of Poland spoke in favor of entrusting the formation of the country’s new government to opposition leader Donald Tusk. It was planned that the vote on confidence in his cabinet would take place in the Sejm on Tuesday.
