fans discover an interface bug, known since the days of PS3

As you know by now, a few days ago Sony showed the user interface of PlayStation 5, which thanks to a video has allowed fans to discover numerous details about the menus that we will be able to explore starting next November 19, 2020. However, it seems that in the UI there is an old and annoying bug.

The most attentive fans have in fact noticed in the presentation films of the operating system the presence of a problem already present at the time of PlayStation 3: the icon that indicates the DualSense battery status, the PS5 controller, appears in the upper right corner of the screen, dimming the clock each time you press the PS button on the controller. This problem plagued the interface of the third Sony console until 2009, when the Japanese giant decided to solve it by publishing a firmware update (3.0). At the moment it is not clear whether what Sony has done with the new console is the result of a trivial distraction or, as some fans think, it is simply a sort of easter egg which refers to the old problem. In any case it is likely that Sony will be able to solve the bug with a simple update that can be downloaded already on day one of the next-gen console.

Speaking of updates, did you know that PlayStation 5 firmware updates will also bring improvements to the fan? On our pages you will also find the Cyberpunk, Demon’s Souls and Miles Morales themed PS5 interface recreated by a fan.
