As most of you know, Minecraft is a construction game, sandbox type originally created by the Swede Markus Persson (commonly known as “Notch”), and later developed by his company, Mojang AB. This title was publicly released on May 17, 2009 and after various changes its full version was released on November 18, 2011.
Since then this title has become very popular with gamers around the world on various platforms, including Switch. Well, we get an interesting news related precisely to the version for the hybrid console.
As the players of this title will remember, last week we informed you that Minecraft had been updated to version 1.16.20, introducing some new features, crafting interface changes, and the monstrous Piglin Brutes (stronger versions of the Piglins). In general, any update is welcome, as it helps to improve, balance or introduce content for a better playable experience in any title.
Unfortunately in this case it is not yes, as Switch players have encountered a number of stability issues since updating their game. These are the problems that have been reported:
- After upgrade the game is freezes even before loading a world.
- When trying to quit the game and turn off the console, this one freezes completely.
- Other users claim that the game has been unplayable for more than a week.
Obviously, given such a scenario, players have not hesitated to complain through different social networks. Fortunately, it seems that Mojang has started work on releasing a new hotfix (a quick patch), specifically for the Switch version. It seems that the patch is starting to be available, however, it seems that there is still no unanimity about its result. Some of the players who have already installed this new update claim that it has not helped, while others, on the contrary, claim that their experience has improved.
Be that as it may, let’s hope this whole situation will be fixed as soon as possible so that Minecraft players on Switch can continue to enjoy a good experience wherever they are.
