It is difficult, when you think about it, to get a reason for the console war. It is as if the proponents of one brand of DVD player are fighting verbal (and thankfully virtual) fights with those of another. Assuming there are supporters of DVD player brands – but the concept we imagine is clear enough.
The event of PlayStation 5 a few days ago was, needless to say, the trigger for feuds of all kinds, with the spotlight often focused on what the manufacturer of the “rival” console does not have, rather than on what my favorite one offers. Squares of the web were thus populated with river discussions further triggered by delusional pre-orders (by Sony’s own admission), open without a specific timetable e sold out sold out in minutes.
But what’s the point of the console war if Do platform holders get on in love and agree? This is a mystery to which we are not given the answer. Just think of Microsoft: after joking about the PS5 event pointing out that his notifications were flooding with quotes, the official Twitter account Xbox he also replied to an enthusiast who let him know that, having always supported the green brand since its debut, with the next-gen he will switch to PS5 because it is the console his friends will play on too. Microsoft’s answer? “Make the best choice for you, friend!”
The house of Redmond thus replied to the fan that he thanked her for the memories of all these years, before moving on to Sony:
You have to take the one that is best for you, man! PlayStation 5 looks like a great next-gen console, and we are happy that you have so many good memories in our company. And then, even if you don’t have to buy one of our consoles, you can always grab Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on Android or PC!

Under this twitter, another player explained that he will make the same choice because his friends play on PlayStation. In this regard, Xbox replied:
Don’t see it as a missed opportunity! Playing with your friends is more than worth a reason to choose PS5. You can always buy Series S or Series X further down the line, or maybe opt for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to play on Android or PC.
In short, in case it was not clear, Microsoft places strong emphasis on its subscription service, which is now strong too of xCloud library titles.
Don’t think of it as a missed opportunity! Gaming with friends is incredibly valuable and more than enough reason to go with a PS5.
