Fan recreates intro to Half-Life: Alyx in Far Cry 5 – Gaming – Geeks

For anyone who does not have a VR headset but still wants to see or experience something from Half-Life: Alyx, there is a solution. A fan used Far Cry 5’s map tools to recreate the beginnings of Half-Life: Alyx.

SaintPerkle is making maps for Far Cry 5 more often and has now recreated the intro to Half-Life: Alyx. Interested parties can called the folder Far Cry Alyx try it out yourself when they are logged into Far Cry Arcade, but the creator has also published a gameplay video showing his creation. His folder is only available on PC for the time being, but SaintPerkle expresses hope that it will soon also be possible on consoles.

He says that the gameplay on his created map is not that much and that it was mainly an exercise to copy the beginning of Half-Life: Alyx with as much detail as possible. He seems to have succeeded in that. Players get a similar look at City 17, including the detailed skyscraper and a fairly identical-looking office.
