A 45-year-old father killed his 12-year-old twins, a girl and a boy, in an apartment in Margno (Lecco) and later committed suicide.
According to initial information, the children were strangled yesterday. The father’s body was found not far away under a high bridge. The family is said to originally come from Milan and have a holiday home in Margno.
The father reportedly killed his two children and then killed himself by jumping from the Vittoria bridge in Maggio di Cremeno (Lecco).
Shortly before the act of madness, the man texted his wife and mother of the children, telling her that she would never see her children again. The woman immediately left Milan and found only the lifeless bodies of her two children in bed. A short time later, the father’s body was also found nearby.
It is still unclear why the father carried out this horrible act.
