A hospital for “teddy bears” will exceptionally open its doors this Saturday at the Haute Ecole de Santé de Sion. It aims to play down the medical environment for 4-7 year olds.
Children will have the opportunity to bring their favorite stuffed animal to medical and nursing students. The purpose of this operation is to familiarize 4 to 7 year olds with the medical world, while reducing their apprehensions about the hospital.
The nursing staff will take care of the cuddly toys in a multi-step process: ambulance, waiting room, consultation, treatment room and operating theatre.
The teddy bear hospital will open its doors this Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the Valais capital.
