Fameck. Jealous husband threatens his wife’s ex with a knife

A fifty-one-year-old man was arrested on June 5 on the market square in Fameck in possession of a knife.

Summoned to the Thionville Criminal Court to answer for violence with a weapon and threats against his wife’s ex-companion, he says he saw red when she tells him that his former boyfriend is still spinning around him.

Mad with rage, he takes a knife and goes to the market place, where he thinks he can find his rival with the firm intention of making him want to shake his eyes.

He takes the knife out of his jacket

He was driving around when he saw her driving his vehicle. He parks his car, gets out of it and goes head-to-head towards him.

He opens the driver’s side door and grabs it vigorously. He insults him, threatens him: “I’m going to tie you up in the forest for a week and kill you.” A passerby, witnessing the scene, pulls him back.

The molested man takes the opportunity to start with a bang. The jealous spouse then takes the knife out of his jacket and throws it with all his might at the car even though the driver’s side window was open.

“He wanted to crush me,” he defends himself at the bar of the court. For his part, the victim admits to having been threatened but not touched. “It appears that the facts of violence with a weapon are not established, points out Marie-Pierre Chateauvieux, the representative of the public prosecutor who requires a six-month sentence with a two-year probationary suspension.

Found guilty for the acts of threats, the defendant was sentenced to five months with a probationary suspension of two years, prohibited from coming into contact with the victim and from carrying a weapon for two years.
