A powdery substance was found at Sofia Airport, the press center of the Ministry of Interior told Novini.bg.
Passengers were partially evacuated while the inspection was carried out.
The powder was found in one of the toilets. The Ministry of Interior clarifies that an expertise of the substance is being prepared.
An official statement from the airport was later issued:
“A white powdery substance was found in one of the toilets at Terminal 2 at Sofia Airport earlier this evening. A partial evacuation of the passengers was carried out to ensure their safety. It was established that the substance did not pose a danger and the passengers were admitted back to the building. The flights are scheduled, there are no reasons to worry, added the airport. “
