Fallout 4 will receive a next-generation update in 2023 for Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5 and Windows. The update includes well-known features such as support for higher frame rates in the form of a performance4K mode and support.
That 4K support likely takes the form of a quality mode, as a counterpart to the performance mode. Bethesda does not use the word “mode” in the sentence in which it speaks of 4K resolutions, however, so this will have to be definitively evident from the upgrade itself. The Windows version will probably also receive a frame rate update; the 2015 game has a built-in maximum of 60fps, as long as the player doesn’t mod Used. The Windows version already supports 4K resolution.
Bethesda keeps talking non-specific “bug fixes” and “Creation Club bonus content”. This is Bethesda’s counterpart for Steam Workshop, but it includes paid mods that are also funded by the company in some cases.
Fallout 4 is a first and third person action RPG set in the state of Boston, 210 years after a global nuclear war devastated the world as we know it.
