The much-advertised Russian Moskvich 6 failed in sales: the car appeared in Russian dealerships last week, but there is no demand from buyers. Journalists from Autonews emphasize that there is no hype around the car, and sales are at zero.
In fact, the so-called “Moskvich 6” is a complete copy of the Chinese car Sehol A5 Plus. At the Moscow plant they only glue the Russian logo onto it. However, the price of the car is twice that of the original Chinese model. Journalists managed to find out about this even at the development stage of the project, which looks like a scam under the guise of “reviving the Russian automobile industry.”
The material notes that in one car dealership, potential buyers bypass the Moskvich.
A salesman at one of the dealerships said that his company had not yet sold a single car. He admitted that in other showrooms the situation with the sale of cars is similar: there is no demand for it from Russians.
At the same time, the price of the car continues to remain at the level of 2.6-2.8 million rubles.
Previously, the Russians forgot to change the logo of the Chinese brand on the steering wheel of “their” car. It turned out that the presented car was a Chinese crossover.
