Fahmi Alamsyah resigned from the position of expert advisor to the National Police in the field of public communication. Chairul Huda, an expert adviser to the Indonesian National Police in the field of law, said that he and his colleagues had indeed urged Fahmi to resign.
“We (the expert advisors to the National Police Chief) asked him (Fahmi Alamsyah) to resign. We even had an ultimatum, before the National Police Chief conveyed press release (Tuesday, August 9, 2022) regarding the development of Brigadier J’s case, we ask him to resign,” Chairul Huda said to detik.comWednesday (10/8/2022).
“That’s right, before the National Police Chief conveyed press release last night, he resigned yesterday afternoon,” continued Chairul.

Chairul explained that it was not without reason that he and other expert advisors to the Indonesian National Police insisted Fahmi Alamsyah back off. Chairul explained that he and his colleagues just found out that Fahmi Alamsyah was the person who compiled the initial press statement draft in the case of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yoshua Hutabarat’s death, even from a news report.
“We clarified to him, did he really know about the incident, as reported on Friday night after the incident. Turns out he knew,” Chairul said in a high tone.
Chairul said that so far Fahmi has been involved in the discussion of the expert advisors. However, he did not tell what he knew about the case of Brigadier Joshua.
“We (the expert advisors to the National Police Chief) have been discussing, meeting, discussing a number of things that must be suggested to the National Police Chief. He (Fahmi Alamsyah) did not tell him what he knew at all. There we were united, all the other expert advisors asked him to resign,” said Chairul Huda.
