Mohamed Fadl, a member of the Egyptian Football Association, confirmed the possibility of Al Ahly fans reserving their seats in the remaining stands of the planned capacity for Zamalek in the Egyptian Super Cup match in the Emirates.
Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in the capital Abu Dhabi will host the Egyptian Super match next Thursday between Al-Ahly, champions of Egypt, and Zamalek, holder of the Egyptian Cup.
Fadel said, in statements to “On Sport” channel on Tuesday: “Al-Ahly fans in the Super League have run out for a while, but there are still vacant seats in Zamalek’s stands so far.”
He added: “There are 6 thousand tickets remaining of the planned capacity of Zamalek, which amounts to 37 thousand, those vacant seats in the second-tier stands behind the goal, and there must be support.”
He concluded his remarks by talking about the ability of Al-Ahly fans to get the remaining tickets, saying: “Any fan has the right to buy the ticket online through the site, but security prevents the wearing of the opposing team’s shirt in the stands of the other team.”
