After comparison, the scene of the film is basically the same as that of the online video, and the dialogues of the characters in the film are all conducted in English. According to a Reuters article, the man who appeared at 0:29 of the online video is Adam Merrett, Capcom’s British public relations manager. “Resident Evil has always been about survival horror, and (players) taking action to survive this post-apocalyptic world, so (this campaign) kind of brings that to life,” he said. “We thought, if there was a room in Smithfield Human slaughterhouse, you can smell death, what would you do, how would you react if you put yourself in a hopeless situation?” (Resident Evil has always been about that survival horror, that action to break up and survive this apocalypse so to speak, so it’s kind of about bringing that to reality and we thought, having a human butchery in Smithfield where you can literally smell the death puts you in that situation of if there was no hope left what would you do, how would you react?)

The article also pointed out that the products offered by the campaign included “human” hands, feet, faces and ears, and although they did not appear to be edible, they were all made from meats such as smoked ham and sausage that were safe to eat.
