Mannheim. The residents of Vogelstangsee in Mannheim are concerned with loud popping noises. While the police are groping in the dark and still have no trace of possible culprits, ear witnesses report explosive noises and vibrating windows. Regularly between 3 and 4 a.m. it should bang loudly at intervals of 30 to 60 minutes, as a resident of this editorial team reports.

He is not alone in this. The users of the “MM” Facebook page also know how to report the popping noises. “Often Friday to Saturday at night. Around 3.30 a.m., ”says a user about the mysterious noises. Katrin Quarg made it clear that the perpetrator or the perpetrators do not consider working days or weekends. Nevertheless, she felt exhausted.
Anke Lipp heard the noises on Tuesday night, as did Quarg. It was 3:20 am, she writes, and explains: “To hear seven shots, I woke up, then another seven.” Stephanie Wolf also heard it crack and speculated: “I’m guessing the underpass, somewhere on the railway line. This time someone seems to have run straight away and shouted loudly. “However, Lipp only heard the shots.
Popping noises also in other parts of the city

Apparently the residents of the Vogelstangsee are not alone with the phenomenon. In other parts of Mannheim, too, it should keep banging loudly. “We always have that in the immediate vicinity,” reported David Schwöbel. He guesses on Polish firecrackers who would throw “a couple of youngsters”. At the same time, Schwöbel also emphasized: “Although, if I think about it, we have had our peace for a long time … maybe the perpetrators moved on?” It was unclear which district Schwöbel was talking about. Nina Schollmeyer was more specific: “We have it in Neckarstadt-West too, mostly at night between 2 am and 3:30 am.”
For other Facebook users, on the other hand, the whole thing seems to be less bad. They were kidding. While Jana Rust asked Sabrina Soodersooderanders what she was doing there, Soodersooderanders replied credibly that she had nothing to do with it. Perri Perri Perri answered promptly and “threatened” Soodersooderanders: “Hands up!” Flow W. Snej, who was probably not very serious, brought it to the point when he remarked: “Mannheim – live at the limit.”
