Fabio Di Giannantonio touched on Gresini Racing’s decision to sign Marc Marquez after finishing in third place in MotoGP AustraliaSunday (21/10).

Di Giannantonio currently still has no definite future for next season. His position at Gresini Racing will be replaced by Marc Marquez who is leaving Honda.

One interesting thing, since it was confirmed that he would leave Gresini Racing, Di Giannantonio has continued to record impressive results. Di Giannantonio was able to finish in fourth place at the Mandalika MotoGP and then finished in third place at the Australian MotoGP.

“Things like this [hasil bagus], sometimes it just takes patience. “A racer needs that, not luck, but being in the right place at the right time,” said Di Giannantonio as quoted by Crash.

Di Giannantonio feels that Gresini Racing is taking a decision too quickly regarding the composition of drivers next season.

“It happened very quickly, the thing with Marc [kontrak] and maybe [Gresini] without waiting a little more time to be patient and without this result, things might be easier.”

“Other racers have succeeded in recording extraordinary results since the start of their work in MotoGP, but sometimes other racers just need time. Rome was not built in one day,” said Di Giannantonio, giving an example.

Di Giannantonio currently still hopes to appear in MotoGP next season but the only empty seat remaining is at the Honda factory. Performance in the remainder of the season might help Di Giannantonio gain certainty in the next season.
