Formula1.com technical expert Mark Hughes has called the Ferrari F1-75 the ‘most innovative car’ for the 2022 F1 World Championship.
The Ferrari F1-75 was equipped with two of the biggest innovations of the season. Its aerodynamics, with “cliff” sidepods and a unique upper channel, offer a superior combination of floor and rear wing performance.
Second, under that shapely hood was a brand new 066/7 powerplant. The turbo was smaller than rivals and the intake tract longer, coupled with an ultra-rapid ignition system that improved low-end response and made best use of the 500 bar fuel pressure allowed by the regulations.
The unique combination of aerodynamics and power unit has recorded a spectacular series of pole positions, although reliability still needs improvement. Above all, it shows the depth of creative talent that exists in Maranello.
