Striker Indonesian National team, Ezra Walian promised to work harder in the match against Laos AFF Cup.
Ezra Walian started as a starting player in the match against Cambodia which ended in a 4-2 victory. Even though he didn’t score, Ezra appeared adamant throughout the match and had several good chances to find the net.
“WE GARUDA! Last night we played the first match of the AFF Cup, filled with a 4-2 victory. The next match we will try even harder,” said Ezra in his Instagram account.
The Indonesian national team will face Laos in the AFF Cup continued match on Sunday (12/10). The match against Laos includes a mandatory win duel in the Indonesian national team’s effort to hunt for tickets to the semifinals.
In Group B of the AFF Cup, the two tough competitors for the Indonesian national team to compete for the semifinal tickets are Vietnam and Malaysia. Therefore, the six-point score must be a fixed price before undergoing two hard matches at the end of the group phase.
Ezra Walian has defended the Indonesian national team since the 2017 SEA Games. However, the issue of citizenship status had made it difficult for him to defend the Indonesian national team in the international arena.
It also made Ezra Walian absent from the Indonesian national team squad before the problem was resolved. Ezra can also return to defend the Indonesian national team and be included in the squad for the 2021 AFF Cup.
