Jack Miller sentenced long lap penalty on the race MotoGP Netherlands 2022 this Sunday. Rider Ducati The Australian has received the same sanctions in two consecutive weeks.

In MotoGP release received detikSport, Miller got the punishment because he was found guilty of slowing down at Turn 5 in the second qualifying session (Q2) at the TT Circuit Assen, Saturday (25/6/2022). His actions were considered disturbing Maverick Vinales which is behind him.

After an investigation, the FIM MotoGP stewards panel concluded that Miller had violated section 1.21.2 of the FIM Grand Prix World Championship regulations which read “riders must ride responsibly and not endanger other riders.”

As a result, Miller had to undergo another long lap penalty for the second time in two consecutive weeks, following articles 3.2.1 and 3.3.2.3. Miller himself has apologized to Vinales.

Previously at the German MotoGP, he was given a similar penalty for being judged to have disrespected the yellow flag that was flown after the crash experienced by Aleix Espargaro in fourth free practice (F4).

Despite being punished, Miller was in fact able to close the race at the Sachsenring by grabbing a third podium behind Johann Zarco and Fabio Quartararo. At Assen this time, can the 27-year-old racer get another positive?
