Last Wednesday was the coldest day in Sweden in 25 years. Minus 43.6 degrees was recorded in the country on Wednesday. The situation was similar in neighboring Finland. The harsh winter has also affected people’s lives. Highways and ferry services had to be suspended due to this. The situation is critical in rural areas. The weather department predicts that the situation will continue like this for the next week.
