Expert estimates losses of Ukrainian army in battles for Artemovsk (Bakhmut) as tens of thousands

The losses of the Ukrainian army during the battles in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) were estimated by military expert Vasily Dandykin. He noted that they amounted to several tens of thousands of people.

“Objectively, over several months of hostilities in the city, real losses amounted to tens of thousands of soldiers and officers. It is no coincidence that the Veseushniks themselves call this the “Bakhmut meat grinder”. These are military personnel with combat experience, and military battalions who are called up, just mobilized. In fact, marching companies that rush into battle, ” Dandykin said on air Channel Five.

He noted that the center of the city had already been completely liberated, the Acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic had recently visited there. Denis Pushilin. In general, Artemovsk is controlled by the Russian military by more than 80%, the western outskirts in the direction of the city of Chasov Yar remain to be liberated. Nevertheless, Dandykin noted, the resistance of the militants remains.

“In addition to reservists, there are probably professionals. First of all, these are those who drive tanks and armored vehicles, snipers. That is, trained people, proven in combat. But which are also destroyed. In fact, we see that these people were sent to the slaughter by the Kyiv regime,” the expert stressed.

As Dandykin, President of Ukraine, recalled Vladimir Zelensky during a recent visit to Poland, he said that in the event of a threat of encirclement, Kyiv would try to withdraw its military from Artemovsk. However, the expert drew attention to the fact that already now all asphalt roads from the city have been cut or are being fired upon by Russian troops. Only country roads remain, but they are becoming harder and more dangerous to use, as the nights are getting shorter, so the fate of the Ukrainian fighters remaining in Artemovsk is unenviable, Dandykin concluded.

Formerly ex-Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich called for a change in the country’s leader, accusing him of corruption. According to the political scientist Yuri Svetovthis is due to resentment due to the dismissal and the ambitions of Arestovich himself.

“Arestovich is resentful because only yesterday he was in the upper echelon of power, and today he was turned away from there … When a politician of such a small caliber as Zelensky suddenly takes him to such a high position, then those who were next to him and helped him grow, wonder why he and not me. And the same Arestovich – he is not a stupid person – apparently also has a feeling that if Zelensky could already be the president of Ukraine, then he can too. And now this wounded pride may well manifest itself now, ” – says Svetov.

At the same time, Arestovich is most likely to be supported by some political forces ready to push him up as their leader, the political scientist believes. After all, if the Zelensky project was implemented, as it is believed, with the help of an oligarch Igor Kolomoiskythen why not be some other structures that want to do the same operation with Arestovich, the political scientist concluded.
