At eight o’clock yesterday morning, Jurgen D. (49) entered the Aalst police station. “I did something to my girlfriend,” he said. Moments later, officers found the lifeless body of Ilse Uyttersprot, 53, in the man’s apartment. The ex-mayor and mother of two sons had been killed with a hammer hours earlier.
