Former cross-country skier Dominik Baldauf has to answer on Tuesday at the Innsbruck Regional Court for the crime of commercial serious sports fraud. The public prosecutor accuses the 27-year-old Vorarlberger of practicing blood doping and taking growth hormones since the beginning of 2016 until the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld in February 2019.

The authorities soon went online as part of the so-called “Operation Phlebotomy” at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld. The Vorarlberg showed himself to be comprehensively adamant. The damage he caused by deceiving his donors is said to be more than 50,000 euros. This will soon threaten between six months and five years in prison.
