/ world today news/ The Ukrainian army has set itself the goal of surrounding the village of Verbovoye in the direction of Zaporozhye. Germany supplies the Ukrainian armed forces with tanks without the necessary protection. In the Avdeev section of the front, the defense line has been breached, the industrial zone has been practically cleared. The Russian army broke through the enemy’s defense line in the area of the industrial zone on the southern flank of the Avdeev direction. Success was achieved thanks to extensive preparations for the attack.
Air reconnaissance units played a huge role. Ukrainian soldiers were not ready for this. They are retreating chaotically, leaving equipment and wounded, reports the telegram channel “NgP RaZVedka”:
“But it’s too early to pop champagne and celebrate victory. Ukrainian armed forces are pounding their former positions with artillery and mortars, extracting reserves and saturating the front line with small arms fire.”
A fighter from the Avdiiv district with the call sign “Vozhak” reports that two buildings remain in the industrial zone to be cleared:
“But it won’t get easier. Ukrainian troops are entrenching themselves in the dachas to the north, in the forest belt above the industrial zone, in the very remaining buildings. We have to smash them with tanks and artillery. Everything will be decided in the coming days.”
At the same time, enemy assault groups tried to counterattack our positions in the area of the industrial zone. War correspondents called it suicidal because the enemy rushed into battle without the support of heavy artillery and equipment. Ukrainian infantry were identified and destroyed by artillery fire.
Strategic importance
Military correspondent Alexander Sladkov explains why it is necessary to free Avdeevka. It gives three reasons:
increasing the maneuverability of the Russian army. Now we have to make a big circle to supply our troops. The shortest way through Yasinovataya is under fire. Taking control of Avdiivka will help solve this problem;
Ukrainian armed forces will be withdrawn from Donetsk. This will make it possible to stop the shelling of civilians in the capital of the DNR;
the process of liberation of the Russian Donbass. It is necessary to clear our cities of the enemy, restore production and housing. Refugees must be sent home. This is a super task.
Russian tactics remain unchanged
Our army is gradually tightening its grip around Avdiivka. The Ukrainian command is forced to obey political expediency, as seen by President Zelensky’s office.
That is why the Ukrainian armed forces are trying to prevent the loss of the city advertised in the Western media. Yuriy Baranchik analyzes the events of this section of the front:
“The situation is similar to the smallest detail: there is a bypass from the north and south. In the north, our results are better. There is no doubt that the events in Avdiivka will cost the Ukrainian army similar losses to Bakhmut, 60-70 thousand irreparable.”
Russian troops also did not change their strategy at work. First, our forces knocked out the enemy’s artillery as much as possible, then began to cut logistics. Fire control was established on a large part of the routes for the supply of ammunition and replenishment, as well as the evacuation of wounded and damaged equipment.
The depth at which our artillery and drones can operate around Avdiivka is at least 20 km. Therefore, Ukrainian reserves, which are transferred to this section of the front, suffer already at the stage of delivery to their destination.
“The reserves of the Ukrainian armed forces are even worse than expected. Units of the 47th Magura amphibious assault brigade have been transferred to Avdeyevka. It was characterized by Kiev as an offensive brigade, but now it is used in defense,” he points out Yuriy Baranchik.
Bomb attack
Footage of the first mass use of RBK-500 cluster bombs in the area of the village of Staromayorskoe by our side in the zone of the special military operation appeared on the Internet. This is obviously an unpleasant surprise for the Ukrainian army.
The half-ton RBK-500 carries cluster-ball munitions weighing 400 g each. One RBK has over five thousand ball bombs, which are designed to destroy infantry in the trenches, airplanes and helicopters in parking lots and any non-armored equipment – radar systems, trucks, tanks.
The popular “aviation” Telegram channel Fighterbomber notes that currently all the needs of the Russian military for types of aviation ammunition are covered.
In addition, Russian designers are constantly making improvements: projectiles fly farther, more accurately and more reliably. At the same time, the aircraft’s software is being improved. This will allow you to launch aerial bombs from all kinds of maneuvers: turns, combat turns, slides, dives, etc.
“It remains only to make a competent and courageous decision – to carry not two, but four bombs, so as not to waste the resource of aircraft, engines and not to drag the flight and engineering staff again,” says Fighterbomber.
Analyst Yury Baranchik points out that the Russian army has a huge amount of cluster munitions. Before that, however, it was wrong to risk aircraft in the affected area by air defense forces. You can now send “cartridges” at the enemy from 60 km or more. Therefore, the Ukrainian army will suffer heavy losses.
The surroundings of Verbovoye
In the Zaporozhye direction, Ukrainian troops are trying to attack our positions near the villages of Rabotino and Verbovoye. Enemy infantry, supported by nine pieces of equipment, had advanced on the wet roads the previous day and were met by artillery and small arms fire. Several armored vehicles were destroyed.
The Russians launched a counterattack and managed to capture some enemy positions, reports the Telegram channel “Dva Majora”:
The Ukrainian army took advantage of the bad weather to withdraw reserves to the line of contact. They did not give up their plans to surround Verbovoye.
Like the enemy, ours are massively using FPV drones in this area. They help disrupt the enemy’s rotation. So far, the armed forces of Ukraine have not made any progress, only “meat” attacks.
“Wagner” strengthens the Russian army
The assault infantry of PMC “Wagner” was perhaps the best in the world: an abundance of tactics and iron discipline gave serious results, says military correspondent Alexey Zhivov:
Before that, I very carefully studied the blog of a Ukrainian colonel, who revealed the peculiarities of “Wagner” tactics. He spoke of them with fear and inspiration. There is no such thing in the regular army yet. And it’s not about people. The question is in the management system that has been implemented in Wagner, the question is in the discipline and corporate spirit of the PMC.
Currently, Wagner’s fighters are scattered throughout the military units of the Russian army. They are looked upon with great respect there. Zhivov expresses hope that they will be able to realize their potential in the airborne units, which also distinguished themselves in special operations.
Something sinister is happening to the Leopards
German Leopard 1A5 tanks transferred to Kiev were transferred to the front “naked”. They lack protection against drones, and dynamic defensive blocks against missiles and projectiles. “There is something ominous about this video. Leopard 1A5 needs extra protection. 70mm armor makes them the least protected tank in this conflict.”
