Everton midfielder Dele Alli meets four former Tottenham team-mates at a dinner to celebrate his 26th birthday

DELE ALLI met some former Tottenham teammates during a dinner to celebrate his 26th birthday.

The midfielder, who signed for Frank Lampard’s Everton in January, enjoyed a night out to celebrate his big day.

And he was joined by Eric Dier, Ryan Sessegnon, Son Heung Min and goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini.

Both Dier and Gollini also wished Alli happy birthday in separate Instagram posts.

The playmaker has made just six appearances for Everton with the former England international struggling for form.

He has been criticized by pundits, including former Liverpool captain Graeme Souness.

Souness said: “Dele Alli is a mystery to me. When he first broke into the team (at Spurs), I thought: ‘he’s destined to be a top player.’

“He had a couple of years where he was good, scoring goals, working hard for the team.

“But everything has evaporated. Many serious managers have looked at it and decided on it.

“To me, if I were advising him, I’d be saying ‘now you’re in the last chance room.’

“If it doesn’t work out for him at Everton, where will he go after that? It’s certainly not a big club.

“Everton is a great club, you should grab it with both hands. Whatever he is doing, and only he can answer, is one of two things.

“They have taken his eye off the ball for whatever reason, [or] He has lost interest in football, at his age, really?
