D66 party leader Rob Jetten is pleased with the victory of Biden and Kamala Harris, he says on Twitter.
The first response from the cabinet is from Minister of Development Cooperation Sigrid Kaag, although she does so in her capacity as D66 party leader. “Finally,” Kaag sighs on Twitter. “The country can heal on the way to the future.”
GL leader Jesse Klaver is also lyrical about Biden’s victory. “YESSS Joe Biden president !,” he writes on Twitter. PvdA leader Lodewijk Asscher shares a video of Van Jones, an American commentator, who bursts into tears and writes: “Politics matters.”
