Many ETECSA customers often question the company for not yet implementing the current official exchange rates in its international top-up promotions.
The company has clarified in this regard in the publication that offers details about the current mobile recharge offer in Cuba.

According to the monopoly, the international recharge is not carried out according to the new exchange market applied in Cuba because “the exchange market does not modify the price of ETECSA’s products and services.”
“The implementations of the new measures are related to the purchase operations of foreign currencies, currently accepted in the country, in the branch network of BANKS and CADECA with a new exchange rate,” they add.
Regarding the price of recharges abroad, they report that distributors define the rates, “taking into account the transaction and the exchange rate in each country.”
