This operation is taking place this Saturday with students from 16 student residences in Villeurbanne, Vaulx-en-Velin and Vénissieux.
This Saturday, April 10, Est Métropole Habitat will organize a distribution of packed lunches to the students of its 16 student residences, located in Villeurbanne, Vaulx-en-Velin and Vénissieux. The metropolitan public housing office (OPH) specifies that this operation is carried out in partnership with the three Vaud associations Cœur banlieu’Zhar, Cœur du Mas Cuisine, Avas (A Vaulx ‘AmbitionS), and also with Afev .
An email was sent to all the students to inform them of this distribution. The OPH notes that 200 students have already reserved a package. The distribution will take place at the foot of each of the student residences in accordance with barrier gestures.
“These baskets are made up of donations from individuals, businesses, large brands, solidarity grocery stores after a communication on social networks, relayed by the kapseurs of Afev. Hotlines for collections have been set up at the Maison pour Agir in Vaulx-en-Velin. Finally, a collection was also organized among Est Métropole Habitat employees, ”states Est Métropole Habitat.
The baskets are made upstream by volunteers from associations, individuals and the Est Métropole Habitat Innovation team. However, this is not a first for the office: Est Métropole Habitat had indeed already organized 2 other distributions in December.
