C orona aggravate t a population st run in the US significantly: More disgruntled residents than ever leave d ie States with strict regulations against the pandemic. You are looking for among other things greater freedom in loosely governed regions.
The US Census Bureau, which is responsible for population statistics, has just published figures that document what the Wall Street Journal calls the “great pandemic migration” : Between April 1, 2020 and July 1, 2021, 151,512 people moved from midwestern Illinois to other locations in the United States. 406,257 residents turned their backs on New York and 429,383 in California. The bottom line was that all three democratically governed states lost residents: most of them were New York State with 365,336, followed by California with 300,387 and Illinois with 141,039.
