Escape car of escaped murder suspect and sheriff’s deputy found | Abroad

Murder suspect Casey White escaped prison last week along with Deputy Vicki White, who are not related despite sharing the same last name. A manhunt is currently underway for the pair.

They disappeared on the way to court. Vicki had told her colleagues that she would take the prisoner for a psychiatric evaluation. However, it now appears that that agreement did not exist at all. Vicki also did the transport on her own. However, according to the police, that was never allowed. According to the authorities, therefore, everything points to Vicki White being involved in the escape. It is currently being investigated whether she did so voluntarily or whether she was forced to help.

Casey White is serving a 75-year sentence for several crimes in 2015, including holding six people at gunpoint — and shooting one of them. He is also charged with two murders in September 2020.

Vicki’s orange 2007 Ford Edge was abandoned on a country road about a two-hour drive from the jail, more than four hours after they fled prison, according to police. It is suspected that there were technical problems with the car. “The vehicle was left in a remote area on the side of a road where the vehicle would clearly attract attention and be found,” the sheriff said.

The car was collected by a recovery company. They have informed the authorities. The manhunt for the pair continues unabated. Police are even offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to White’s arrest.
