The 32-year-old man who stabbed the 22-year-old woman at noon on Friday 1/3 in Ermou, while she was going to work, will be brought before the investigator on Tuesday 5/2. A case was filed against the perpetrator for attempted murder.
The 32-year-old, originally from Iraq, came to our country via Serbia with a German passport just a day before. He claimed to the police that the 22-year-old was an agent and was watching him.
“It is a case that troubled us all, because we have never seen anything like this before. The perpetrator has been brought to justice and all his characteristics will be checked. His claims are incomprehensible and it does not appear that he had anything to do with the victim,” Nikos Rigas, vice-president of the Athens Police Employees Union, pointed out to Mega.

The Police received a call about the bloody incident at the junction of Ermou and Fokionos at around 13:30. EKAV was immediately notified, where the victim was transported to Evangelismos, with a deep wound on the left shoulder blade and conscious.
Until the ambulance arrived at the scene of the attack, the uncontrollable bleeding of the unfortunate 22-year-old was restrained by a police officer and workers from the surrounding shops.
The 22-year-old was taken to Evangelismos, where she underwent surgery, as she had deep wounds. The 2 blows with the knife caused a ruptured diaphragm, a lung injury and a broken rib. To this day, the young woman remains in the Intensive Care Unit.
