Erling Braut Haaland | Pappa Haaland reveals his son’s special routines: – If he thinks it works, then why not?

On the football field, Haaland is completely extreme, and the same can probably be said about his routines off the field as well.

Erling Braut Haaland has not disappointed in the beginning of the 2020/21 season. Jærbuen has scored five goals in as many games in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League he has four goals in three games.

It is perhaps not particularly surprising that Haaland has replaced with goals this season as well. Last season, Haaland scored an incredible 44 goals in 40 games for Red Bull Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund.

Special routines

And there is no doubt that Haaland has taken some special steps to become the football player he is today.

According to ESPN, Haaland trains with a personal trainer via FaceTime, he meditates when he feels he needs it, he sleeps at least nine hours every night and wears glasses that protect against blue light from screens.

In addition to this, he turns off the Internet every night at ten o’clock in order to sleep as well as possible. Then dad Alfie has to take on mobile data when he visits.

– I’m not sure he has proven that it can be bad to have on the Internet, but if he thinks it helps, why not? says Alf Inge Haaland.

Organized own training

In the big article for ESPN about Haaland, the main character says that he always looked forward to the weekends when he was little because then he could play football.

And when Haaland got older and started with organized training, those training sessions were not enough to cover the striker’s urge to play football.

Haaland and his friends thus started to organize their own training, and that was when father Alf Inge understood that his son’s could go far.

– I realized that I did not need to push him from the time he was 11-12 years old and everything tends to be more interesting than training. But he was very eager to get better. They brought packed lunches and were there all weekend. They did everything themselves, says Alfie.

Erling Braut Haaland and Borussia Dortmund meet reigning Champions League and Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich on Saturday at 18.30.
