Epic Games has acquired Harmonix, which develops Rock Band and Guitar Hero 1 and 2, to develop musical experiences and content for the popular game Fortnite. It appears from a press release.
– Together with the Harmonix team, we will transform how players experience music and go from passive listeners to active participants, comments game development manager Alain Tascan.
Harmonix games will continue to be available on Steam and all plans for new DLCs, downloadable content, for previous games are intact.
