Strasbourg is going green for the first time in its history. The EELV candidate, Jeanne Barseghian, was elected mayor of the city after the second round of municipal elections, Sunday June 28. The 39-year-old candidate finishes well in the lead, with 41.7% of the vote, according to the final results. Alain Fontanel, who had forged an LREM-LR alliance, obtained 34.95% of the votes. Socialist Catherine Trautmann leads the way with 23.33%.
