Twenty environmental activists blocked the Toulouse ring road near Rangueil this morning at around 8:30. Concerted actions of the “Last Renovation” movement as activists did the same in Paris and Lyon. They intended to warn of the need for energy redevelopment of buildings; “civil resistance is organizing throughout the territory and promises to intensify until the government decides to protect its population from the mass murder it has been guilty of by its inaction” explains the small group on its Twitter account.
In Toulouse everything happened very quickly, there were about twenty of them rushing along the ring road waving banners. The carabinieri intervened promptly, the device having been lined with video surveillance cameras, the blockage lasted only about ten minutes. No injuries or accidents. A dozen activists were taken into custody for prosecution “obstacle to the movement of vehicles on public roads“, a police source tells us.
The operations of environmentalists in the Pink City are multiplying, on Wednesday it was the deflators of SUVs who led a new campaign south of Toulouse.
