Entering India again, PUBG Mobile Adjusts the Local Culture: Okezone techno

PUBG Mobile re-enter the Indian gaming market. This step was taken after being withdrawn due to regulatory problems there. The return of PUBG Mobile is followed by adjustments to several aspects of the game with local culture.

This game was banned by the Government of India last September. Not long after, PUBG Corporation no longer gave franchise licenses to Tencent Games in India to distribute PUBG Mobile. Thus, as quoted from NDTV, Monday (16/11/2020).

PUBg Mobile was withdrawn from circulation on October 30th, but some people who installed this game on Android and iOS phones were still able to play after that date.

PUBG Corporation announced that they will name this game as PUBG Mobile India which is specially made for that country market.

PUBG Mobile India games will be adapted to local culture. They will change a number of aspects in the game to reflect India, for example the location of the place and the clothes the characters wear. PUBG Mobile India will also provide an age limit to play.

PUBG is committed to providing maximum data protection and compliance with applicable rules in the country. PUBG Corporation will periodically conduct audits and verification of their storage systems to ensure the data of Indian players is secure.

Apart from gaming, PUBG Corporation plans to set up offices in India and employ more than 100 people to improve their services and communications.

PUBG Corporation and Krafton, its parent company, committed to invest US $ 100 million in India to develop local gaming, eSports, entertainment and information technology.
