?The company I work for tells me to sign a new employment contract every two years. After the completion of two years two months of paid vacation and 15 vacation days for each year. Under the employment contract at that time, only the indemnity for the length of service provided is recognized. It’s correct? It should be noted that the indemnity must be paid from the beginning of the employment relationship until the moment of separation on the basis of the salary at the moment of separation. The company says that because the benefit is paid every two years, the benefit can only be paid for the remainder of the term.

I think two things need to be clarified by the letter.

1. Regardless of the number of employment contracts existing between the employer and the employee, all of them must be considered as a single contract.

Legally, if an employee works with an employer for more than five years, the employment contract becomes indefinite. Even if there are two or three contracts in those five years.

2. The TFR is calculated at the time of termination of the employment relationship. It is calculated on the basis of the salary received on that day. 15 days’ salary each year for the first three years and one month’s salary each year after three years as severance pay. If the allowance has been given earlier, it is sufficient to pay a small amount.

If you don’t get compensation this way, you can file a complaint in court. It is best to seek the advice of a Bahraini lawyer in this regard, only a Bahraini lawyer can go to court.
