KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. In the 2020 Apindo National Work and Coordination Meeting (Rakerkornas), the General Chair of the Indonesian Employers’ Association (Apindo) Hariyadi Sukamdani complained about the requirement for a salary subsidy program of IDR 600,000 per month for private employees.
“Then also, for example, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. For example, the fee is required that those who get transfers for employees must be free from arrears from BPJS. In fact, many are in arrears,” he said, Thursday (13/8/2020).
Hearing this complaint, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan responded. The government, said Luhut, will provide relaxation to companies that are in arrears for workers’ insurance contributions.

“Companies that were affected by problems during Covid were not the ones with problems before Covid was different,” he said.
Previously, the Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah said the government would still provide wage subsidies to private workers or laborers under IDR 5 million in income if the worker or company was in arrears for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan contributions.
“So if he does not make payments because of arrears, we can still tolerate it because he is actually still a BPJS participant,” he said, Tuesday (11/8/2020).
