employees denounce “degraded working conditions”

On this day of national strike, the North Moselle employees of the Carrefour group demonstrated in Thionville, Yutz and Manom. At stake, according to the forty demonstrators present in Geric, represented by Laurence and François-Xavier: “The transition to lease management of 40 stores which will become franchises in 2021 with the loss of benefits for employees (holiday bonus, Christmas, restaurant vouchers, discount on purchases, etc.); the revaluation of salaries by 0.9% compared to € 1.6 last year; and the management’s proposal to increase the Macron bonus this year to € 200 gross instead of € 1,000 net in 2020 ”. And to denounce in passing “the working conditions which are deteriorating sharply, with reduced staff for the same work”. In Yutz, at the Carrefourt market, about fifteen trade unionists advanced more or less the same message: “Despite the announcement of exceptional results in 2020, management continues to question the social status and working conditions.
