ABU DHABI, 18th November, 2020 (WAM) — Red Bull team driver Max Verstappen of Holland, who won the championship title for the second consecutive year, led the second free practice for the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix , which took place today, Friday, in preparation for the official race scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday.
Despite his absence from today’s first free practice, Verstappen made a strong comeback to record the best time, putting in a strong performance on the Yas Marina track, leading the driver list with a time of one minute and 25.146 seconds, ahead of George Russell, who finished second by 0.341 seconds.
Charles Leclerc finished third, ahead of his team-mate Sergio Perez in the race for second place in the championship, who finished fifth, while Lewis Hamilton, who has graduated seven times earlier, finished fourth despite leading the free practice of today.
