ABU DHABI, September 19 / WAM / Her Excellency Sarah bint Youssef Al Amiri, Minister of State for Education and Advanced Technology, said that wise leadership directives always emphasize the importance of strengthening areas of cooperation with the community international at all levels and stimulating qualitative and innovative industries, especially those related to advanced technology, believing in their vital role in strengthening the economy of the UAE and increasing its regional and global competitiveness.

His Excellency noted – in a statement today – that hosting the annual meeting of the International Organization for Standardization “ISO” in the capital Abu Dhabi confirms the prestigious position of the United Arab Emirates, as the importance of this meeting derives from the improvement of the quality of system infrastructures, which will reflect on the competitiveness of national industries, and improve their technological development, and this is what we aspire to in terms of implementing plans, initiatives and strategies, in order to increase the contribution of the industrial and technological sector to GDP .

His Excellency added: There is great development in the UAE quality infrastructure system on an ongoing basis as we work to align national standards with international best practices and look forward to achieving industrial development supported by advanced technology through integration with all our regional and international partners.

He said: The exchange of experience in the field of standardization serves our national goals and this international meeting, which is held for the second time in our country, represents a valuable opportunity for all experts and specialists in this field to work on development. international standards, in line with state policies to predict the future and to improve the benefits of changes in technology in the field, opening up new global markets.
