DUBAI, 3 October / WAM / The Dubai Sports Council today announced the launch of the fourth edition of the “Labor Sports Course”, which will be held in collaboration with the Standing Committee on Labor Affairs in Dubai, the Dubai Police and the Municipality of Dubai, in different locations of the emirate, with the slogan “Their happiness is our goal” and includes 10 sports, and its competitions will continue until March 31, 2023.
This took place during a press conference held at the Dubai Sports Council headquarters, in the presence of Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director of the General Administration of Residence and Foreign Affairs and President of the Standing Committee on Labor Affairs in Dubai, and Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness, acting in the Dubai Police, and Nasser Aman Al Rahma, Deputy Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council.
The competitions for the fourth edition of the “Torneo Sportivo Operaio” began on 18 September.
The Dubai Sports Council has launched sports initiatives targeting workers since 2010 under the name of the first trade union sports festival, which was attended by thousands of workers of different nationalities and ages out of 2000 workers.
The tournament will be held in 6 locations: Jebel Ali, Al Quoz, Al Jaddaf, DP World, DUTCO and Dulsco, sponsored by DB World, Dubai Holding, DUTCO, Dulsco, Landmark, World Security and Taqdeer Program.
