Misano –
Johann Zarco emerged as the fastest rider in the free practice I MotoGP of Emilia Romagna 2021. Marc Marquez finished second in the midst of Ducati’s dominance.
This session took place with wet track conditions. Taking place at the Misano Circuit, Friday (10/22/2021) afternoon WIB, Zarco shot a time of 1 minute 42.374 seconds. The Pramac racer was 1.4 seconds ahead of Marquez behind him.
Factory Ducati rider Jack Miller led most of the first session but had to settle for third. Zarco managed to surpass Miller’s time in the last seven minutes.
Francesco Bagnaia had an accident at turn eight so he could not improve his time. Bagnaia is sixth behind Yamaha’s Franco Morbidelli and ahead of Miguel Oliviera, who rides a KTM.
Leader of the standings MotoGP Fabio Quartararo doesn’t look promising in FP1 MotoGP of Emilia Romagna. Quartararo finished the session by 3.1 seconds to occupy 18th place behind former team-mate Maverick Vinales.
Meanwhile, Valentino Rossi occupies the 12th position with a time of 1 minute 44.751 seconds. Rossi will play his last home race here after deciding to retire at the end of the season.
