Emergency income extended by 4 months, but not for the unemployed

Thanks to the Sostegni Bis Decree, the government has decided to extend the emergency income for another four months, but not for all. So let’s go into the details and see what there is to know about it.

2020 was marked by the impact of the coronavirus, which brought with it negative repercussions both from a social and cheap. In fact, in order to counter its spread, the government has decided to adopt a series of restrictive measures, which unfortunately force many families to deal with a serious financial crisis. Being able to cope with expenses is becoming increasingly difficult and for this reason it is not surprising that over the last year the requests for the Basic income. A very important measure, which was joined last year by the emergency income.

The latter, as known, was introduced with the Relaunch decree in May 2020 in order to offer financial support to families most affected by the situation. Extended for another three months thanks to the first Sostegni Decree, the government led by Draghi has decided to add another 4 months with the Support Decree Bis. The latter, however, is aimed at a less wide audience, with many who will be excluded from this extension. So let’s go into the details and see what there is to know about it.

Emergency income, bad news on the way: extended by 4 months, but not for everyone

Thanks to the Sostegni Bis Decree, the government has decided to extend the emergency income for others 4 months wages, i.e. June, July, August and September. Compared to the first decree, however, it has a smaller audience. They remain excluded, in fact, i unemployed who have finished receiving the Naspi. For the latter, the only novelty is the stop to the 3% cut of Naspi starting from the fourth month of the subsidy.

Interested parties will have to submit request by July 31, 2021. At the moment it is not yet clear whether the beneficiaries of the first three months of 2021 will have to repeat the application, or if it will be paid automatically. Therefore, further information is awaited.
