The rocket took off from the American Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This is the first time it has belonged to Elona Muska | SpaceX, sent (together with NASA) into an orbit full of astronauts.
There are three Americans on board the “Resilience” spacecraft: Shannon Walker, Mike Hopkins and Viktor Glover, and the Japanese Soichi Noguchi. Astronauts are to land on the International Space Station on the night of Monday to Tuesday Polish time.

The first SpaceX test mission took place in May. Back then, two astronauts were dispatched to the International Space Station (ISS), so it was not a full crew.
Currently, there are three people at MSK – Russians Sergey Ryzhkov and Sergey Kud-Swerczkow and the American Kate Rubins. They flew there last month aboard the Russian Soyuz spacecraft.
The International Space Station was created thanks to Russian-American cooperation in the late 1990s. It is located in a low orbit around the Earth, about 400 km from the surface of our planet. Since 2000, it has been permanently inhabited by astronauts.
With the final withdrawal from the US shuttle service in 2011, NASA was deprived of its own means of transporting astronauts and resupplying MSK. The replacement of the station’s crew members was carried out exclusively with the use of Russian Soyuz ships.
