Elon Musk Overtakes Bernard Arnault as Richest Man in the World: Bloomberg Billionaires Index

Elon Musk he is again the richest man in the world. The founder of Tesla and Space X, as well as owner of Twitter, has overtaken the founder of Lvmh Bernard Arnault. According to the data of Bloomberg Billionaires IndexElon Musk’s assets would amount to 192.3 billion dollars, while that of Bernard Arnault, recently in Sardinia for a “top secret” wedding, is equal to 186.6 billion dollars.

Musk overtook the luxury tycoon following the 2.6% drop recorded by LVMH shares on Wednesday 31 May in trading on the Paris Stock Exchange, after the slowdown in Chinese manufacturing.

Over the last year Elon Musk and Bernard Arnault have repeatedly competed for the “scepter” of the richest man in the world. The founder of Lvmh had surpassed the boss of Tesla, Space X and Twitter in December 2022. In 2023, however, Elon Musk increased his assets by 55.3 billion dollars, mainly thanks to the Tesla boom, which in one year it grew by 66%.

Many well-known names among the richest in the world

The podium of the richest men in the world is completed by Jeff Bezos, which with its assets of 144 billion dollars has to “only” settle for third place. In the Top 10 of billionaires, other “illustrious” names stand out, from Bill Gates to Warren Buffett, passing through Mark Zuckerberg.

Three Italians present in the ranking of the 100 richest men in the world: it is about Ferrero (inserted as Giovanni Ferrero group), Ernesto Bertarelli e Gianluigi Aponte.
