It is in this context that Elon Musk points out that the United States must significantly increase production, because – however green it may be – renewable energy sources they will not be able to make up for the shortages resulting from the cut off of supplies from Russia. As he admits, increasing production may negatively affect Tesla as a producer of electric cars, but he is clearly aware that there are important and more important things.
