Elon Musk Breaks Amazing Record: Billionaire Lost More Money Ever According to Guinness World Records | Money

Tesla, SpaceX and Twitter CEO Elon Musk broke a new record, even if it’s not what he expected. The 51-year-old multi-billionaire is said to have suffered the biggest loss of his personal fortune in the past year, according to Guinness World Records. Musk lost no less than $182 billion (€169 billion). Little nudge: he remains the second richest person in the world.

According to the American business magazine “Forbes”, Musk has lost no less than 182 billion dollars (169 billion euros) since November 2021. Other sources claim that the Tesla boss has actually seen almost 200 billion dollars disappear like snow in the sun ( 186 billion euros).

Musk takes the title of largest money investor from Korean-Japanese entrepreneur Masayoshi Son. That is the founder of the Japanese multinational SoftBank, a company that invests mainly in telecommunications and internet companies. In 2000 it lost almost 59 billion dollars (about 55 billion euros). As a result, the assets of the Japanese fell from $78 billion (€73 billion) to $19 billion (€18 billion).

The second richest man

Musk has seen his wealth shrink to 138 billion dollars (about 128 billion euros), according to ‘Forbes’, while previously it amounted to 320 billion dollars (almost 300 billion euros). The main reason for his financial loss was the fall of Tesla shares, which lost about 65% of their value in 2022 during the worst year ever for the company. In addition, the acquisition of Twitter, for which Musk had to shell out 44 billion dollars, also plays an important role.

Musk lost the title of world’s richest person in December 2022. He was dethroned by Bernard Arnault, the founder of Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, the world’s largest luxury brand conglomerate. Arnault is estimated to be worth $190 billion (€177 billion).

LOOK. Last month, Musk was heavily booed after appearing on a show by American comedian Dave Chappelle:
