A total of 293,000 viewers got their first win of the year for Rosenborg, when the Trunders beat Brann 2-1 in Bergen on Sunday.
And thus the battle became the most set elite series match of Eurosport Norway.
– This is an extraordinary situation, and we don’t have much to compare with. We are very happy that football is back – we are very pleased about that. It’s a different season this year than what we’re used to, ”Eurosport media contact Martin Hinsch told Nettavisen.
– Very strong numbers
– With 293,000 viewers, yesterday’s match is the most-watched elite series match ever at Eurosport Norway. It is incredibly gratifying with such good numbers in late June. We know that the Elite series is strong in Norway. Nevertheless, it is very gratifying that so many people came to Eurosport Norway, says acting sports director of Eurosport, Morten Johannessen.

The match had a market share of 35.3 percent in the commercial audience, and at most, nearly 360,000 viewers followed the show at the Fire Stadium.
– These are very strong figures, and an average of 293,000 is historical for Eurosport Norway. There is no doubt that there was great tension in the match yesterday, after all that has happened in Rosenborg lately. In addition, many are still hungry for live sports. What we needed was a real rainy day in much of the country, says Eurosport acting sports director Morten Johannessen.

Series premiere on Friday
A lot of sports will be broadcast on Discovery’s channels in the days to come. As of Wednesday, there will be football seven days in a row on either TVNorge, Eurosport Norway or Dplay.
– There is already a new series round in the Elite series on Wednesday, and on Friday the OBOS league also starts again. That means football for seven consecutive days on our channels. And if you want to get everything with you, all matches in the Elite Series and the OBOS league will be shown on Dplay, says Eurosport acting sports director Morten Johannessen.

This coming Wednesday and Thursday, it is ready for the fifth series of the Elite Series. First off on Wednesday, Stabæk receives the Strømsgodset at. 18.00 on TVNorge, before Rosenborg guests Vålerenga in the capital at. 20.30 at Eurosport Norway. On Thursday, Kristiansund welcomes Molde to the local showdown at. 18.00 at Eurosport Norway before the round ends with Sarpsborg 08 against Brann at. 20.30 on TVNorge. All the series round matches are also broadcast on Dplay.
