Elissa Stands Up to Cyberbullying and Defends Her Choices

The Lebanese artist Elissa was subjected to ridicule because of the plastic surgery she recently had on her face and mouth, but she responded that all of this did not concern her.

“For a bully, a sick person. I saw a filter through which they made fun of my mouth, but my last concern is talking. I am Elissa, my love. I am able to do something with my life. Who is making fun of my appearance? Who are you?”

She talked about the fact that her preoccupation with art prevents her from doing many things, and she expressed her feeling of provocation from people who say that it is necessary to have children to support a person when he grows up, because this does not happen in reality, not to mention that it is illogical in her opinion, and she said:

“I hate this word that it is necessary to have children. I am against these old legacies, because there are many people who enjoy having children, but no one cared for them in old age, and their children were not their support.”

She stated that she postponed the album’s release out of respect for what is happening in Palestine and in solidarity with the people of Gaza, but this does not mean that she will stop concerts.
